ThetaOne Korea Partners with YBM for AI Speech Processing Technology R&D

Generative AI startup Theta One Korea (CEO Kim Chan-woo) announced that it has signed a joint research and development contract with YBM for AI speech processing EdTech technology. Through this contract, YBM and Theta One Korea expressed their ambition to advance both companies' AI technology to an unparalleled level using a vast amount of learning data.

Both Theta One and YBM are planning new services utilizing generative AI technology. In particular, Theta One operates the AI English friend conversation app, 'MetaBuddy.' MetaBuddy's core competitive advantage is the "English conversation experience." Conversations with an AI friend that remembers everything are engaging and fun, and their proprietary AI speech recognition technology is fast and accurate. MetaBuddy has already achieved high paid conversion rates just three months after official launch and continues to grow at 51% monthly, with most traffic being organic. Through this research, they aim to showcase faster and more accurate speech recognition technology. Meanwhile, YBM plans to enhance the utilization of its products by complementing the technology needed for children's English learning.
